From Broken To Unbreakable

Sensei Shruti Roy

"There was a time when I was just a scared, broken girl. When my papa left us, words from people broke me more than anything — I felt lost, mentally unstable, and like I had no direction. But then I found Karate. It didn't just teach me how to fight — it gave me direction, discipline, and the strength to stand up when life knocked me down."

"Today, with immense gratitude, I stand here with the title of Sensei. This title is not mine alone — it belongs to my Shihan, my Sensei, and every senior who believed in me and never let me give up. From fear to strength. From tears to respect. This is my journey, and it's just the beginning."

The Association

A dojo built on discipline, not shortcuts.

Since 2013, JKRKDA has guided students — from first‑time white belts to seasoned Sensei — through the traditional Kenyu Ryu curriculum. What began as a small training group has grown into an association producing its own certified black‑belt instructors, several of whom now teach the next generation.
